Giro Ranger Off Road Shoes

The most noticeable feature of the Ranger Off-Road Shoes is the innovative Synchwire™ upper, a technology created to give you cycling shoes that are light, durable and breathable. When you're hammering along trails, this design keeps your feet cool and comfortable and, being quick-drying, won't mind you speeding through muddy puddles either. Rubber reinforcements are added at the toes and heels, offering protection when you're tackling tough terrain and racing for the win. 

For adjustment, Giro uses their ever-dependable 3-strap system. It's light in weight, doesn't mind mud and rain and is easy to adjust, even on the go. Nothing fancy or fussy, just a reliable closure every time. 

Synchwire™ Technology

The one-piece Synchwire™ upper deployed here has been tried and tested on Giro's premium mount off-road cycling shoes. This supple thermo-bonded exco-structure gives you a shoe with minimal weight but one with optimal foot-hold and support. The upper also features more ventilated mesh zones to provide excellent ventilation and breathability, keeping your feet cool as the heat rises. 

Tenacious Grip

The sole of the Rangers is a co-moulding of a stiff nylon sole unit and grippy rubber-lugged tread. On the bike, the stiff sole keeps pedalling smooth and efficient while the rubber lugs dig into any surface should you have to hop off and hike-a-bike some trail sections. And for particularly muddy days, think typical winter cyclocross race, steel toe spikes can be added for more off-the-bike traction.

Cleat Guidance

These shoes are compatible with MTB pedal systems, which use the 2-bolt cleat standard (SPD standard), e.g.: Shimano SPD, Time ATAC, CrankBrothers, CrankBrothers Race, Look MTB, Xtreme MTB, Wellgo MTB, Ritchey MTB. Also suitable for indoor trainers in gyms etc.
