The Aries Spherical Helmet (MIPS) exceeds stringent safety standards thanks to the combination of cutting-edge safety technology. It starts with Giro's ball and socket Spherical Technology™, powered by Mips®.

For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head.

Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.

Progressive Layering™

The Aries also benefits from an in-mould construction and Progressive Layering™. A tough and durable outer shell covers a two-layer impact-absorbing core. 

With one layer dealing with high-speed impacts and the other with low-speed impacts, the Aries addresses both those low-speed tip-over spills and more adrenaline-pumping crashes that happen when the brakes are off.
